May 2016 brought our 4th year attendance at the annual Accountex show at the Excel centre in London. This event is for Accountancy professionals from all divisions in the sector and this year over 6000 delegates attended the show. Accountex is a two day event held and delegates can attend seminars, network and of course stop by the stands of over 200 suppliers to the industry- ourselves included.
We were at stand A372 this year and we had brought along some of our key titles from Property Taxes and Guide to Tax Payers’ Rights and HMRC Powers by Robert Maas, to Ray and McLaughlin’s Practical Inheritance Tax Planning. With implementation of FRS 102 and FRS 105 being hot topics in the profession right now, our range of financial reporting titles proved very popular as well.
We were also talking to attendees about our range of tax and financial reporting online services offerings, including some exciting new developments, which are proving increasingly popular in what is a price conscious market. Please get in touch or visit our website if you weren’t able to get to Accountex and would like to find out more.
As always we were also involved in a series of useful meetings with authors and both existing and potential business partners over the two days.
This year we were also giving delegates the change to win a luxury hamper in exchange for their business card. This seemed to go down really well and we had nearly 100 entries. Our winner though was Emma Rodger from EJ Chartered Accountants so a big congratulations to her.
We will be back next year and hope to see some of you there and if you haven’t attended Accountex before then we highly recommend it, tickets are free and it’s a great chance to meet and network with people from all areas of the industry.
Look out for a follow up email from us if you did manage to attend this years Accountex.
